Yunnan Paiyao

          Yunnan paiyao is manufactured by a scientific process from famous and precious medicinal materials indigenous to yunnan. It has for decades been employed with remarkable effect and widely reputed, both in China and abroad, for its immediate functions of arresting hemorrhage, curing wounds, activating blood circulation, dispersing blood clots, eliminating inflammation and swelling as well as expelling pus and counteracting toxin.

Indications

• Incised wounds, gun shot wounds, traumatic hemorrhage, bruises and contusions, etc
• Pyogenic infections of the skin such as red swelling, abscess, carbuncle, furuncle, etc
• Women's blood deseases, such as dysmenorrhea, menostasis, irregular menstruation, hypermenorrhea, metrorrhagia, leukorrhagia, postpartum blood clots, etc
• Sore throat, chonic gastralgia, hemorrhage of gastric and duodenal ulcers

Administrations

• For treatment of incised wounds, gun shot wounds, bruises and contusions. Irrespective of their being serious or otherwise, administration depends on whether there is hemorrhage. In case of hemorrhage take yunnan paiyao with lukewarm boiled water, in the absence of hemorrhage take with wine
• For treatment of women's blood deseases. Generally take with wine, in case of hypermenorrhea and metrorrhagia take with lukewarm boiled water
• For pyogenic infections of the skin. At the incipient stage take orally 0.25 grams (1 capsules) and also apply topically a quantity of powder evenly mixed with wine to the affected parts, it pus has already formed, oral administration alone, is necessary

Dosage

• For adults, four times daily 0.25-0.50 grams (1-2 capsules) each time
• For children of 2-5 years 1/4 of the adult dosage, for children of 5-12 years 1/2 of the adult dosage
• Each bottle or blister sheet is provided with one safety pill. This red pill should first be taken with wine in case of serious wounds. It is not required however for light injury and other diseases

Please note

• Broad beans, fish, sour or cold food should not be taken within one day after administration
• Yunnan paiyao should not be taken during pregnancy

Presentation

• In bottles of 4 grams and 1 safety pill each
• In capsules of 0.25 grams on blister sheets incorporating 16 capsules and 1 safety pill each
