Panax Ginseng Extractum

          Panax ginseng extractum is prepared from the root of the panax ginseng C.A. Meyer, a plant of the family araliaceae. Panax ginseng, a precious special produce grown in the changbai mountains in china’s northeastern provinces, was adopted as a drug for treatment of diseases as early as the time before the han dynasty (founded in the year 206 B.C.). The rich experience gained in the application of the panax ginseng as a drug by physicians in the past two thousand years evidence that it is a drug full of therapeutic and nutritious actions.


          In the book called “shen nong’s book on materia medica” compiled in the han dynasty, mention is made that panax ginseng exhibits the functions of nourishing the five vital organs of the human body, tranquilizing mental tension, calming down jitters , stopping palpitation with fear, expelling evil environmental influences, together with aiding visual acuity, ease of mind and power of intelligence. Effective constituents of panax ginseng:
          The main constituents of panax ginseng include : ginsenoside, panaxic acid and essential oil, together with β-sitosterol, vitamins, saccharides, peptides of low molecular weight and various kinds of amino acids.

Main actions of the panax ginseng extractum:
          It regulates the activity of the central nervous system and gives a stimulating and tonic action to inhibit fatigue and promote recovery from fatigue. It helps to build up a strong physique so as to raise mental and physical activities, to improve sleep and to alleviate or remove headache. It also exercises a sedative  action for the treatment of neurasthenia, neurosis and other diseases of the nervous system.
          It regulates the blood pressure and aids the blood circulation. It cures or alleviates coronary heart disease, hypertension, hypotension, and myocardial malnutrition.

          It lower the levels of blood sugar and urine sugar in the patients suffering from diabetes mellitus of slight and medium grave symptoms, rendering thus a general improvement of health condition.

Presentation and dosage:
Panax ginseng extractum is presented in bottles, capsules and ampoules. All for oral administration

Extract in bottles
Contents:
equivalent to 40 grams of panax ginseng per bottle
Specification:
50 ml per bottle
Dosage:
3 times a day, 10-20 drops each time

Extract in capsules
Contents:
equivalent to 700 milligrams of panax ginseng per capsule
Specification:
30 capsules per bottle
Dosage:
1 time a day, 2 capsules each.

Extract in ampoules
Contents:
equivalent to 1.2 grams of panax ginseng per ampoule
Specification:
10 ml per ampoule, 10 ampoules per carton
Dosage:
1 time a day, 1 ampoule each
(not for injection, only for oral taking)
To open the ampoule, first wipe clean its neck, use the disc cutter appended in the carton to make a slight cut on the neck of the ampoule, apply a gentle force to break off the neck and then suck the extract to the mouth with a suction pipe

Storage
To be kept in dry and cool places.
For extract in capsules keep moisture off.
For extract in bottle there may appear slight precipitation after long storage, this does not affect its therapeutic action, shake well before taking
