Evening Primrose capsule

          Evening primrose is a crude drug containing the extract of oenothera biennis, onagraceae, and his rich amount of gamma linolenic acid (GLA) which is a specific fatty acids, also essential unsaturated fatty acids discovered rarely in other plants. According to the reports in foreign literatures, GLA has the effects of lowering blood fat and dissolving thrombus, it possesses cholesterol lowering activity which is 162 times than that of linoleic acid and it is the precursor of prostaglandin (PG) in human body. PG is the local signal material which adjusts cell activity and has wide and important activities

          The clinical treatments of 350 cases in 5 hospitals proved that Evening Primrose has excellent triglycerides lowering activity. It has better effects of lowering the level of serum general cholesterol and beta lipoprotein, and has onset in one month after administration generally, and the effects are more obvious by continuing medication. It has also the effects of elevating the high density lipoprotein cholesterol level and lowering the body weights for obesity patients.

          The clinical treatments and toxic experiments demonstrated that this drug had no adverse and side effects, and it is safe for a long term of administration. These symptoms can turn better during the course of medication.

Composition:

Each capsule contains 500mg of seed oil of oenothera biennis.

Each capsule contains 300mg of seed oil of oenothera biennis.

Indications:

Hyperlipidemia, arrhythmia and obesity. For treatment and prevention of arteriosclerosis, hyperlipidemia and obesity, etc.

Administration and Dosage:

Orally, 5-7 capsules of 300mg, or 3-4 capsules of 500mg, twice daily.
